Abstract:
PURPOSE: To wind a fibrous mat by compressing at a high compression ratio and to give no damage to the fiber and binder of the mat in the case of compressing in a winder for transporting the mat by compressing, winding up, packaging for storage, and reducing its bulkiness.
CONSTITUTION: The winder has two belts 1, 2 supported by two fixed rollers 9, 13 and two mobile rollers 14, 15. The positions of the belts and the rollers are managed by a computer. A space for winding up flexible strips 19 such as a compressed fibrous mat or the like is formed by adjusting means 17, 18 constituted of parts of the belts 1, 2.
