PURPOSE: To mount and dismount easily a roll unit consisting of a taper sleeve, a roll, and a push-in body by providing concentrically a fitting axis to the front end of a roll axis through an elastic body and fitting a cylinder block to the front end.
CONSTITUTION: An elastic body 19 is disposed concentrically in the central hole 8 of a roll axis 1, and a fitting axis 23 is joined to the axis 1 through the body 19. A cylinder block 30 is attached to the axis 23 freely attachably and detachably, and a taper sleeve 11 is pushed in and drawn back by the housing 37 of a double-acting hydraulic cylinder 32 through a pressing body 13. A roll unit 10 is easily mounted and dismounted by a single stroke of the cylinder 32. Further, as the axis 23 is fitted movably in the axial direction by a prescribed quantity. The safety of device is improved without elongating the body 19 more than a fixed quantity nor causing the come-out of the roll unit 10, etc. when the device is broken.
