PURPOSE: To absorb a shock when the recording paper is cut and prevent the occurrence of the jamming and skewing of the recording paper with a simple structure without providing a loop cutting system.

CONSTITUTION: A conveyance path 28a and a conveyance path 28b are connected by a conveyance path 31. The conveyance path 31 is formed with a curved guide plate 31a having a smooth curved surface. The curved guide plate 31a has a guide path on the inside of the curved surface, and the recording paper 40 is guided along the curved surface. A space section 31b is formed at the position faced to the curved surface of the curved guide plate 31a. When the recording paper 40 is to be cut, the portion of the recording paper 40 between both end sections of the curved guide member 31a is moved to the position shown by a broken line 40a, thus the tensile state of the recording paper 40 is absorbed by the space section 31b. When the excessive tensile state is generated on the recording paper 40 due to defective cutting, an elastic guide member 54 is floated together with the recording paper 40, and a micro-switch 46 detects it.
