PURPOSE: To make forming work possible simply by vertically moving stand units by providing plural sets of forming stands above and below in combination in the position of a pass line and beforehand mounting desired forming rolls of the roll shafts of every stand.
CONSTITUTION: This saves mounting and dismounting of forming rolls according to the shapes of formed articles, and forming stands A constant of the upper, lower rolls 3A, 3B installed to the stand mounting plates 2 fitted to stanchions 1. As motors 17B are driven, vertical shafts 14 are revolved by bevel gears 16, and the plates 2 slide vertically, thereby permitting the adjustment of the rolls 3A, 3B to prescribed height. Thence, cylinders 26 advance to couple transmission shafts 24 to holding barrels 25. Since driving devices 22 are connected to the motors 17c in the lower part by means of sprockets 18 and chains 19, the rolls 3A, 3B of the unit A coupled to the devices 22 are revolved uniformly.
