To provide a printer to which a rolled paper supporting mechanism facilitating work for setting and fixing rolled paper on a supporting shaft is mounted.
A rolled paper holder 7 of a printer 1 includes: a supporting shaft 20 including a cylindrical part 71 fit in a core 4 of rolled paper 2; and a supporting part 23 supporting the supporting shaft 20. The supporting shaft 20 includes: a lock member 40 capable of moving between a projecting position 40A where it projects from an opening 44 on an outer peripheral surface 30a of the cylindrical part 71 and a retreating position 40B on an inner side than the outer peripheral surface 30a; an operation member 41 capable of moving between a locking position 41A and a releasing position 41B; and a link mechanism 78 moving the lock member 40 from the projecting position 40A to the retreating position 40B when moving the operation member 41 from the locking position 41A to the releasing position 41B, and moving the lock member 40 from the retreating position 40B to the locking position 41A when displacing the operation member 41 from the releasing position 41B to the locking position 41A.
