To provide a wind-power plant spindle supporting roller bearing capable of preventing deterioration of a function.
A tapered roller bearing 31 includes a plurality of retainer segments 11a and 11d having pockets for accommodating tapered rollers 34 and arranged sequentially in the circumferential direction between an outer ring 32 and an inner ring 33. The retainer segments 11a and 11d are made of a resin containing 20 wt.% or more and 40 wt.% or less of carbon fiber, glass fiber or carbon black for lowering a thermal linear expansion coefficient. In a case the retainer segments 11a and 11d are arranged without any clearance in the circumferential direction, a clearance 39 is formed between the first-arranged retainer segment 11a and the last-arranged retainer segment 11d. Here, at the room temperature, the circumferential size R of the clearance 39 is larger than 0.075% and smaller than 0.12% of the circumference of the circle passing through the centers of the retainer segments 11a and 11d.
