Abstract:
To provide a roller chain in which lubricating oil can be efficiently supplied to between a bush and a roller.SOLUTION: A roller chain 11 comprises: a pair of inner link plates 12 which are oppositely arranged; cylindrical bushes 17 whose both ends are connected to a pair of the inner link plates 12; pins 20 rotatably inserted into the bushes 17; cylindrical rollers 18 with the bushes 17 inserted therein, and rotatably supported by the bushes 17; and a pair of outer link plates 14 which are arranged outside a pair of the inner plates 12, and to which the pins 20 are joined. The pins 20 are used in vertically extended postures. A first hole 23 is formed in the upper-side outer link plate 14, a second hole 24 is formed in the upper-side inner link plate 12, and annular grooves 25 are formed in internal peripheral edges of upper-side end faces of the rollers 18 so as to adjoin external peripheral faces of the bushes 17. The first hole 23, the second hole 24 and the grooves 25 are overlapped on one another in directions in which the pins 20 extend.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
