PURPOSE: To remove the stain on the surface of a roller stably an automatically when necessary and improve safety by bringing a delivered cleaning tape into contact with a roller to be cleaned by means of an elastic roller and winding up a used tape.

CONSTITUTION: A cleaning tape 1 is connected to a winding shaft 3 on a winding part through an elastic roller 4 on a cleaning part, and auxiliary rollers 7, 7' for making the winding of the cleaning tape 1 around the elastic roller 4 sufficient, are provided in between the elastic roller 4 and a winding object 2 and in between the roller 4 and the winding shaft 3. And, the winding shaft 3 on the winding part winds up the tape 1 by the drive of a motor, while the movement of the elastic roller 4 is carried out by installing an unwinding shaft 2', the elastic roller 4, and the winding shaft 3, etc. in side bodies 8, 8', and moving the side boards 8, 8; by means of moving mechanisms 6, 6' respectively. Thus, the stain on the surface of a roller can be removed stably and automatically when necessary, reconciling the safety of operation and productivity, while maintaining a high degree of cleanliness of equipment.
