Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller cleaning device capable of always keeping the surface of a roller clean.SOLUTION: A roller cleaning device 100 is used for cleaning the surface of a roller 1 and includes a cleaning unit 5 including a cleaning cloth supply section 21 supplying a cleaning cloth 4, a cleaning cloth winding section 15 winding the cleaning cloth 4 and a pressing section 6 pressing the cleaning cloth 4 on the rotating roller 1 and moving means 7 moving the cleaning unit 5 along a longitudinal direction of the roller 1. The longitudinal direction length PL of the pressing section 6 is shorter than the length RL of the roller 1, and the cleaning cloth 4 is located between the pressing section 6 and the roller 1. A width CL of the cleaning cloth 4 is wider than the longitudinal direction length of the pressing section 6 so that the pressing section 6 is not brought into direct contact with the roller 1, and further, the cleaning cloth 4 is fed from the cleaning cloth supply section 21 toward the cleaning cloth winding section 15 while being pressed on the roller 1.
