Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller-driving device for driving a material web forward, especially driving a fleece of a needling machine forward by a relatively simple structural mean so as to secure a safe driving for driving the fleece forward without using a mechanical driving joint between a main driving shaft of the needling machine and a driving shaft for driving the fleece forward.
SOLUTION: This roller-driving device for driving a material web forward, especially for driving a fleece in a needle machine, is provided by installing an electric driving engine 2 for at least one driving roller 1, and connecting the driving engine with a direct current intermediate circuit 5 receiving an electric supply from a electricity-supplying network. In order to provide an advantageous structural condition, a mechanical driving system between the driving engine 2 and the driving roller 1 has an electric supplemental engine 9 similarly connected to the direct current intermediate circuit 5, and the supplemental engine can be driven by the driving engine 2 as a generator.
