PURPOSE: To exchange only worn pipe portion materials only by means of the demounting and mounting of bolts, by installing the pipe portion materials divided into two portions to a shaft by means of bolts in mounting-and-demounting-free shapes, in an exchange method of the pipe portion materials of carrying rollers used for a rolling line of a steel plate.
CONSTITUTION: A roller 1 for conveyance is formed by a shaft 2, a pair of circular bosses 3 and a pair of pipe portion materials 5 fixed to the circumferences of the bosses 3 in mounting-and-demounting-free shapes by means of bolts 4 in concentrical shapes with the shaft 2. The pipe portion materials 5 are made up by bodies obtained by dividing a pipe into two portions in the axial direction, and two adapter plates 6 in shapes that a ring is divided into two portions are mutually fastened to the inner circumference portions at intervals. A plurality of through holes 7 are built up to the adapter plates 6, and through holes 8 corresponding to the holes 7 are also formed to the outer circumference portions of the bosses 3. The roller 1 is assembled in such a manner that a pair of the pipe portion materials 5 are installed to the bosses 3 so that the through holes 7, 8 be matched, the bolts 4 are pierced into the holes 7, 8 and the portion materials 5 and the bosses 3 are screw- mounted by means of studs 9.
