Abstract:
To improve processing accuracy of spline forming by a roller forming apparatus.
The roller forming apparatus 1 includes a plurality of rollers 1 arranged around a feed shaft OW of a workpiece 5, an inner ring 27 which freely rotatably houses the plurality of the rollers 21 on the inner side and regulates the movement to the outer side of the rollers 21, and an outer ring 28 press fitted with the inner ring 27 by shrinkage fitting. The work 5 is fed in the direction of the feed shaft OW by an upper die 7 moved up and down by a press machine and is pressed into the space surrounded by the plurality of the rollers 21 such that the workpiece 5 is formed.
