Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the title roller capable of reducing noise to a large extent.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical core member 3 is formed on the peripheral surface of a roller shaft 2 by using a material like ceramic and a surface layer 4 composed of hard rubber is further formed on the peripheral surface thereof in uniform thickness to especially constitute a platen roller of a wire dot printer. In this case, the generation of noise by the impact with a wire can be reduced to a large extent.
