The roller is equipped with a shaft core, an elastic body layer coated on the periphery thereof, and a metal layer prepared on the periphery of the elastic body layer. A channel for circulating a fluid in the elastic body layer is prepared, and the distance between channels is shorter than twice the thickness of the metal layer.
