PURPOSE: To obtain a roller structure having excellent hermeticity by welding a resin layer of a roller and a shaft end member by ultrasonic welding.

CONSTITUTION: A roller body 12 of the roller 10 is composed of an arbor part 16 consisting of an aluminum pipe and the resin layer 18 molded on the outer periphery of this arbor part 16. The resin layer 18 is extended axially to the outer side from the arbor part 16. The shaft end members 20 are disposed at the ends in the axial direction of the roller body 12. The shaft end member 20 is composed of the shaft end body 22 of which the outer peripheral surface comes into contact tightly with the inside surface of the resin layer 18 extending from the arbor part 16 of the resin layer 18, a flange 28 which is arranged coaxially with the shaft end body 22 and is pressed to the end face in the axial direction of the resin layer 18 and a small- diameter part 26 which is disposed at the end in the direction opposite to the flange 28 coaxially with the shaft end body 22. The shaft end member 20 is integrally molded with the shaft end body 22, the flange 28 and the small-diameter part 26 and is coaxially injection molded with a shaft 14. The shaft end member 20 inserted to the roller body 12 from the small-diameter part 26 is formed by joining the resin layer 18 and the flange 28 by ultrasonic welding and the outer peripheral surface of the shaft end body 22 and the inside surface of the resin layer 18 are adhered and joined by the adhesives packed in grooves 24.
