Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simultaneously carry out the work of drilling and scraping muck and the work of excavating the peripheral wall surface of a tunnel by mounting on one side of a base a boom support frame to which twin booms having a excavating bucket at one end are pivotally attached, and mounting on the other side of the base a parallel link on which triple booms to the ends of which breakers, etc., can be mounted are disposed in such a manner as to be rotatable about vertical and horizontal axes.
CONSTITUTION: A boom support frame 19 mounted on one side of the base 2 of a self-traveling crawler 1 is horizontally turned by means of a boom open cylinder via a boom open turning pin. Next, twin booms 5, 9 are moved to and installed in a prescribed drilling position by means of a boom horizontally oscillating cylinder 24 via a bucket turning pin 23 and then a drilling bucket 11 is moved by means of driving cylinders 8, 10, 13, 24 for drilling and scraping-up operations. Also, a parallel link 26 mounted on the other side of the base 2 is oscillated by means of a cylinder 28 and triple booms 31, 33 are operated by means of cylinders 35-38 to perform an operation for drilling the arched peripheral wall P of a tunnel in the direction of arching by means of a breaker 40, etc.
