Abstract:
To provide an automatic connection technique between a pressure roll and a spindle.SOLUTION: A rolling apparatus with an automatic connection device between a pressure roll and a spindle comprises: a rolling mill 101 which includes a pressure roll; a spindle 6 which transfers driving force into the pressure roll; a spindle support device 10 which lifts and supports the spindle; detecting means 9 which detects a height direction position of the spindle; a shifter 7 which can alienate the spindle support device from the rolling mill or bring the spindle support device near to the rolling mill; moving distance detecting means which detects a moving distance of the spindle support device; and control means which automatically connects the spindle with the pressure roll of the rolling mill. The spindle is movable following to movement of the spindle support device performed by the shifter. The control means controls, on the basis of, positional information of the pressure roll, and the detected positional information of the spindle, the detected moving distance information of the spindle support device, a lifting quantity of the spindle and a moving quantity of the spindle support device to connect the spindle with the pressure roll.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
