Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing adaptable to a wind turbine generating set, a construction machine and an industrial robot which are applied with high loads and shocking loads, and compatible in an excellent life span and toughness.SOLUTION: In a rolling bearing, a DI value of at least one of bearing rings is not smaller than 1.0, a hardened layer whose hardness is not lower than 550 HV is formed at least at a raceway face and a fitting layer by applying high-frequency heat treatment to a steel material which is applied with spheroidizing annealing, and high-frequency heat treatment is applied to the rolling bearing. In the rolling bearing, (A) an average residual austenite amount is not larger than 12 vol.%, (B) a residual austenite amount of the raceway face is not smaller than 12 vol.%, and residual compression stress is not higher than 100 MPa, and (C) a difference between the hardness of the raceway face and the lowest hardness of a region whose hardness is lower than 550 HV is not smaller than 150 HV.
