Abstract:
To provide a biting detection device of a rolling machine, detection method and a rolling machine capable of precisely detecting biting of a longitudinal roller rolling without causing a longitudinal roller for rolling to undergo crack damage.SOLUTION: A biting detection device of a rolling machine and a detection method determines whether a detected rotational speed of the longitudinal roller driving motor is abnormal or not (step S13) and, when it is determined that the detected rotational speed of the longitudinal roller driving motor is abnormal, it is determined that a detected load current value of the longitudinal roller driving motor 36 is abnormal or not (step S14, S15). When it is determined that the load current value of the longitudinal roller driving motor 36 is abnormal, the biting of a longitudinal roller 32 for rolling is recognized and, when it is determined that the rotational speed of the longitudinal roller driving motor 36 is normal or when it is determined that the load current value of the longitudinal roller driving motor 36 is normal, the biting of a longitudinal roller 32 for rolling does not occur (step S16, S17).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
