Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make a slip between a rolling roll and a rotary housing small, and to stably perform a friction drive of the rolling roll.

CONSTITUTION: A metallic long column body is rolled by using three rolling rolls 1 or more arranged with an incline by twisting the rotary shafts in the same direction, a rotary housing 2 whose rolling roll barrel part is supported by the internal surface of its cylinder, a fixed housing supporting the rotary housing 2, and a driving device driving the rotary housing 2. In this case, the rolling is performed by using the rotary housing 2 designed to determine the values of β and the inside diameter and the rolling roll 1 designed to determine the values of δ and the outer diameter so that a difference in peripheral speed between the inner surface of the rotary housing 2 and the outside surface of the rolling roll 1, becomes ≤6% of the peripheral speed of the inner surface of the rotary housing 2.
