PURPOSE: To reduce the friction coefficient against a material to be rolled for a work roll for rolling applied to the rolling of a polymer material and achieve high rolling efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: A material 2 to be molded composed of a polymer material travels while being pressed by a couple of work rolls 1, 1 for rolling disposed face to face and rolling to carry out the required rolling. Rough surfaces composed of a number of recesses and projections are formed on the surfaces of the work rolls 1, 1 for rolling. Nozzles 4 are disposed on the front of the incoming side of the work rolls for rolling and said nozzles 4 are designed to jet fluorine resin powder 3 toward the surfaces of rolls 1. Rolling is performed in the state that the fluorine resin powder 3 adheres to the surfaces of rolls, and said resin powder 3 enters the recesses of the rough surfaces formed on the roll surfaces by pressing action of rolls each other and rotations of them and fixed thereon in the film shape hard to drop from the surfaces of rolls to reduce the friction coefficient against the material 2 to be rolled.
