Abstract:
To accurately control the condition of roll coating by exactly grasping the condition of roll coating for a mill roll.SOLUTION: A mill 2 comprising a fluorescent X-ray analyzer 1 according to the present invention comprises a pair of work rolls 4 and 4. The mill 2 is provided with the fluorescent X-ray analyzer 1 for measuring roll coating 6 for the work rolls 4 and 4 by fluorescent X-rays. Preferably, the mill is provided with a control device for controlling the roll coating for the work roll in a proper range by changing lubrication conditions, brush conditions and rolling conditions on the basis of the result of measurement of the fluorescent X-rays.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
