Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a skew rolling mill for a shafting with which stable rolling can be executed even when elongating rolls are worn, the adjustment of rolling reduction can be easily executed, the difference between circumferential speeds of the material surface and the roll surface is eliminated, surface defect is prevented and the internal structure is made close.
CONSTITUTION: By providing a backup ring 1 which is mounted so as to receive the rolling reaction force of the elongating roll by being freely rotatably driven in accordance with the elongating roll on the outside of a driving device which is connected to the roll shaft 10 of a elongating roll 3 and plural elongating rolls, the rigidity of mill is improved and the rolling of a solid shafting and hollow material is stabilized.
