PURPOSE: To prevent the unequalness of rolling load by providing bearing rolls over the entire length in the transverse direction of work rolls and freely rotatably supporting these rolls with bearing cases.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of the work rolls 2 are supported by supports 3. The deflection of the work rolls 2 is adjusted by a roll deflection adjusting means when the rolling load acts on the work rolls 2. The supports 3 are, thereupon, constituted by having the bearing rolls 6 which are disposed in parallel with the work rolls 2 and are integrally formed over the entire length in the transverse direction of the work rolls 2 and the bearing cases 8 which freely support these rolls in home positions. The generation of bearing marks in a material to be rolled is prevented in this way.
