Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing agent that exhibits an excellent sizing effect, even when paper is made with a high speed paper-making machine at pH 4 to 8 under a relatively mild drying condition, and has excellent mechanical stability and storage stability.
SOLUTION: This rosin-based emulsion composition comprises (A) a rosin- based substance and (B) a dispersant comprising a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a styrenic monomer, a (meth)acrylate-based monomer, a (meth) acrylamide-based monomer, and (meth)acrylic acid.
