PURPOSE: For ensuring gas and liquid separation without attaching any oil separator, to fit a gas and liquid separator constituting wire gauze on a compressing element so that the inside of a container may be partitioned in first and second spaces.
CONSTITUTION: The gas and oil mixture containing even a large quantity of lubricating oil which mixture is in the first space A fitted with the outlet end of the refrigerant gas discharge pipe 13 from a compressing element 3 is separated into refrigerant gas and lubricating oil when passing through the wire gauze 14 constituting the gas and liquid separator partitioning a first space A and a second space B. Lubricating oil returns to a lubricating oil containing compressor container 1 along a side housing, and only the refrigerant gas containing no lubricating oil is led to the second space B fitted with the inlet end of a lead-out pipe 15. Thereby, no lubricating oil is fed to a freezer or an air conditioner. Thus, the decrease of freezing capacity by lubricating oil can be prevented.
