PURPOSE: To reduce the cost and secure the smooth rotation of a shaft by a method wherein a cover-formed node member comprises an inner member inserted externally of a flexible shaft; and an outer thermal shrinkage tube with which the inner member is covered and which has two end parts fixed on the flexible shaft.

CONSTITUTION: A mode member 2 is formed in such a manner that an inner tube member 3 formed of a thermal contraction tube is inserted in the specific position of a flexible shaft part 111 externally of the flexible shaft part and heated for shrinkage and securely adhered on the outer peripheral surface of the flexible shaft part 111. An outer thermal contraction tube 4 having an axial length longer than that of the inner tube member 3 is inserted external of the inner tube member 3 and heated shrinkage, and a central part 4b is securely adhered on the outer peripheral surface of the inner tube member 3 and two end parts 4a on the outer peripheral surface of the flexible shaft part 111. Since the node member 2 is formed by heating, formation is facilitated and the cost is reduced. Further, the mode member is formed as a curved part tinged with roundness, smooth rotation of the flexible shaft 110 is ensured, breakage is prevented from occurring, and durability is improved.
