Title:
ROTARY CYLINDRICAL VESSEL TYPE CONTINUOUS MIXER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2668661
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform uniform mixing without lowering the capacity by dividing a cylindrical vessel into plural mixing chambers by spiral partition plates and also setting the proceeding directions of the spirals of the adjacent spiral partition plates being reverse to each other.
CONSTITUTION: On the inner peripheral wall surface of a rotary cylindrical vessel 12, plural spiral partition plates concentric with a rotation center line O are vertically installed to divide the inner space of the vessel 12 into plural mixing chambers 23-26 along the rotation center line O. The proceeding directions of the adjacent spiral partition plates 22 are set being reverse to each other. Passes 27 for making the mixing chambers 23-26 adjacent to the spiral partition plate 22 communicate with each other are formed to alternately repeat the normal and the reverse rotation of the rotary cylindrical vessel 12. In this way, a variation of residence time of the mixing chamber 23-26 is small to heighten the uniformity of a mixture.
