Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily detect the disconnection of an electromagnetic pickup with a simple configuration in a rotary detection device using the electromagnetic pickup.
SOLUTION: A rotary detection device 1 is provided with an electromagnetic pickup 4 that is provided near a cog 3 of a gear 2 and outputs a detection signal due to the move of a part to be detected, a signal reception circuit 7 for receiving a detection signal from the electromagnetic pickup and outputting it via a transformer T1, an inspection signal generation circuit 9 for adding an inspection signal between the electromagnetic pickup and the signal reception circuit, a switch 11 that is provided at the inspection signal generation circuit, and a microcomputer 12 for judging the rotary state of the gear based on a signal being outputted by the signal reception circuit via the transformer while the microcomputer 12 is connected to signal reception circuit and at the same time for judging whether the electromagnetic pickup has been disconnected or not by applying an inspection signal to the signal reception circuit by operating the switcher when it is judged that no detection signals are being outputted from the electromagnetic pickup.
