PURPOSE: To realize an economical and reliable supporting equipment by statically mounting a rotary drum on two supporting roller stands and constituting one of the two supporting roller stands as a friction drive unit.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary drum 1 has a cylindrical shell 2, the shell 2 supports riding rings 3, 4, and the riding rings 3, 4 are separately affixed against rotation to the shell 2. The riding rings 3, 4 rotatively support the rotary drum 1 on the supporting roller stands 5, 6. The rotary drum 1 is rotated around its longitudinal central axis 1b by a rotation drive unit. The rotation drive unit is a friction drive having one supporting roller stand. The supporting roller comprises supporting roller bearings or a supporting unit comprising the supporting rollers, and the supporting roller 7 of one supporting roller stand 5 is driven through a gear 8 by a driving motor 9 attached thereto.
