Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress the temperature rise in a whole machine and enable the whole machine to be miniaturized with a long service life, by a method wherein some of cooling air introduced through one end of a frame is conducted to the other side of the frame and is made to flow to sections of low cooling effect on the other side of the frame. CONSTITUTION:Cooling air is sucked up through an air intake 16 provided for one end side of a frame 1 and is made to flow through an air passage 19 in a machine, and after that, in case that air is discharged from an exhaust port 18 on the other end side of the frame 1, a side wall opening 16a is provided for the air intake 16 and some of cooling air (the secondary cooling air) is conducted to a side end section for discharging air via ducts 20, 21. And the cooling air passes near the bearing 8 on the air-discharging side through an air passage 23 via a vent hole 22, and after that, in the same way, the cooling air passes near an iron core clamper 12 on the air-discharging side, a rotor bar 13, an end ring 15, and a stator coil 5, and after cooling them, the cooling air is discharged from the exhaust port 18.
