To provide an AC generator where welding equipment can be miniaturized and a welding time can be shortened while high performance and high quality are secured by suppressing electromagnetic noise.
The AC generator is provided with a rotator where an N-pole and an S-pole are alternately formed along a circumferential direction and a stator having a stator core in which slots which are arranged by surrounding the rotator and extend along an axial direction are formed in the circumferential direction at prescribed pitches and having stator windings installed in the slots 15a. In the AC generator, the stator core is formed by bending and deforming a core in a rectangular parallelepiped shape which is formed by matching ends of a plurality of iron blocks and welding and bonding them. The welding depth of a welded and joined block welding part 31 reaches a pulling region 40 where the tensile stress of the stator core is generated.
