Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of improving a sealing property of a coolant channel when a stator is fitted, in a housing having the coolant channel opening in an axial direction.SOLUTION: An electric motor equipped with a cylindrical body portion 14 and a front cover, is provided with a stator fixed in the body portion 14, and a rotor fixed in the inside of the stator so as to integrally rotate with a rotation shaft. The body portion 14 is formed with a coolant channel 23 opening to one side in an axial direction and extending in a circumferential direction. The opening on the one side of the coolant channel 23 is covered by the front cover. The body portion 14 is formed with a coolant inlet 26 and a coolant outlet 27. An interface is provided between the stator and the body portion 14, and a gasket is interposed between an end portion on the opening side of the body portion 14 and the front cover. In the coolant channel 23, a pin member 30 is provided so as to form an orifice portion for communicating a part of the coolant channel 23. The pin member 30 is formed as a different member from the body portion 14.
