Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the charging currents flowing through electric field attenuating layers from partially concentratedly flowing out, by filling a semiconductive material between the electric field attenuating layers near low-resistance corona shielding layers at the ends of adjacent stator windings. CONSTITUTION:The distance between the facing ends Na, Mb of the electric field attenuating layers 4a, 4b provided at the ends of the stator windings is minimized. The semiconductive material 5 is filled between the layers 4a, 4b near their parts connected with the low-resistance corona shielding layers 3a, 3b. As a result, a part i' of the charging current (i) flowing through the electric field attenuating layer 4b flows into the adjacent electric field attenuating layer 4a through the semiconductive material 5. Therefore, the charging current (i) does not concentratedly flows into the end Mb of the low-resistance corona shielding layer 3b and the Joule heat is not concentratedly generated. Thereby, the burn of the insulator layers on the windings is prevented.
