To provide a rotary fluid prime mover that supports a rotor having a fixed cylindrical casing, and having an output shaft that is rotatable within the casing and extends coaxially.
The rotor of a fluid prime mover includes a piston chamber, and a piston 6 that is reciprocatable within the piston chamber. The piston rod of each piston 6 is coupled to a crankshaft 5 coupled to the rotor, and rotates together with the crankshaft 5. The casing has an inlet and an outlet communicating with the piston chamber during the rotation of the rotor, and receives a compressive fluid via the inlet, and discharges it from the outlet. The rotation of the crankshaft 5 and the output shaft 3 is synchronized by a drive train, and the gear ratio of a ring-shaped gear 23 to the pinion of the crankshaft 5 is preferably made to be twice as high as the number of the pistons of each rotor block.
