To improve the production efficiency without impairing the working accuracy even in use for a long period by forming plural grooves on an outer peripheral surface, and electro-depositing the super-abrasive grain on top faces among grooves.
Ninety-six in total, of grooves 7 of a width of approximately 5 mm of cross sectional semi-circle are formed on an outer peripheral surface 6 of a grinder body 4 obliquely to an axis X-X and the circumferential direction of the outer peripheral surface 6 at an angle of approximately 45 degree to both directions. The super-hard abrasive grain such as diamond particles or cubic boron nitride(CBN) or the like is firmly fixed to top faces 8 of crests of approximately 2 mm width among grooves 7 by the electro-deposition to form an abrasive grain layer 9. By applying the electro-deposition of the super- hard abrasive grain and the light-weight grinder body 4, a rotating speed can be increased to 4000/minute from conventional 2000/minute, which improves the productivity.
