PURPOSE: To enhance sealing performance without being affected by high fever in a pipe, in a rotary joint to be provided on a rotational part interposed in a pyrogenic gas piping for transporting high temperature air or high temperature gas.

CONSTITUTION: A fixing side connecting pipe 1 to be connected to a fixing side feed air pipe 6 and a rotatinal side connecting pipe 2 to be connected to a rotational side feed air pipe 7 are rotatably arranged on the same shaft core through a ventilation gap 12, and annular walls 15, 16 are protruded on respective outer peripheral walls on the pars matched to both connecting pipes 1, 2, and cover walls 17, 18 are protruded on the surface where respective annular walls 15, 16 are faced to each other, so as to alternately approach the annular walls 15, 16, and a seal packing 4 is energized and provided on a space part 5 between both cover walls 17, 18, so as to be brought in pressure-contact with the facing surface of the both cover walls 17, 18. And a gas storage chamber 3 is provided between the cover wall 18 on the inner peripheral side and the outer walls of both connecting pipes 1, 2, and an intake pipe 21 is connected to this gas storage chamber 3.
