Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary joint superior in versatility to increase and decrease the number of fluid passages, and capable of being miniaturized and reducing manufacturing costs of a shaft body and a case member, and to provide a tunnel boring machine using the same.SOLUTION: In a rotary joint 10 which has a shaft body 20 and a stationary-side case member 30, and in which a plurality of fluid ports 31b-31h formed on the case member are connectable to a plurality of fluid passages 21b-21h in the shaft body, the shaft body has a plurality of shaft split bodies 20b-20h divided at a plurality of division faces orthogonal to the shaft center, and the case member has a plurality of case split bodies 33b-33h divided at a plurality of division faces, respectively externally fitted to the plurality of shaft split bodies and including one of the fluid ports 31b-31h. The rotary joint further includes shaft connection means 23 releasably connecting the plurality of shaft split bodies to a rotation input-side member 20K, 20a, and case connection means for releasably connecting the plurality of case split bodies in a state of aligning rotation phases so that the plurality of case split bodies keep a connection form.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
