Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a rotary joint and to facilitate insertion of a piping in a rotary device, such as a rotary kiln, lead-out of exhaust gas, and a measure to count leakage.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary joint is mounted on a flange 2 of a rotary device, such as a rotary kiln. The rotary joint comprises a rotary cylinder 3 approximately in the shape of a hollow cylinder rotated togetherwith the rotary device, and a fixed cylinder 4 approximately in the shape of a hollow cylinder combined with the rotary cylinder 3. The fixed cylinder 4 has an annular groove 13 with a bottom in the peripheral wall part of which a peripheral wall part 3a of the rotary cylinder 3 is fitted. A guide cylinder 16 is mounted on a wall part 4b being the inside of the annular groove 13, and the tip of the guide cylinder 16 is extended through the rotary cylinder 3 to the rotary device side.
