To provide a rotary motor with permanent magnets, more specifically, a rotary motor with a built-in permanent magnets capable of reducing cogging torques even in the case of diffrent relationships between the number of slots N and the number of permanent magnets (the number of poles) P.
A rotary motor includes a stator 1 having N sets of slots 6 arranged circumferentially at a substantially equal interval, and a rotor 3 having P sets of permanent magnets arranged circumferentially at a substantially equal interval on the surface of a rotor core 9, and rotating with respect to the stator. A spacing between the stator 1 and the magnetic pole surface of the permanent magnets 11 is made to be substantially constant, and a pair of end surfaces positioned circumferentially on both sides of the permanent magnets 11 are formed in parallel with each other. The permanent magnets are magnetized so that the magnetizing direction of the permanent magnets 11 may be parallel with the pair of end surfaces.
