Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a rotary plastic molding machine equipped with an intermittent rotary mechanism having a compact and inexpensive structure by meshing a pinion with the rack formed to the side surface of a piston to rotate a feed member.
CONSTITUTION: The rotary driving of a feed member 30 is performed by meshing a rack 222 with the pinion 210 provided to the feed member 30 and moving the rack 222 linearly and reciprocally by a piston 220 and a cylinder 230. That is, the rack 222 is formed to the piston 220 and the cylinder 230 forms cylinder chambers on both sides of the piston 220 in such a state that the rack 222 is exposed. By this constitution, the pinion 210 is meshed with the exposed rack 222 to transmit the motion of the rack 222 to the pinion 210 to rotate the feed member 30. By this constitution, since the rack 222 is formed to the piston 220 itself, the piston rod is prevented from largely protruding laterally and a rotary plastic molding machine becomes compact.
