Title:
ROTARY POLYGON MIRROR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04186215
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize low vibrational movement by arranging an annular ring shape groove being deep in the outer peripheral part on the upper surface of a rotary polygon mirror, and arranging a balance weight scattering preventing wall to prevent unbalanced vibration in the case of rotating. CONSTITUTION:A rotary polygon mirror 3 is fixed on a motor shaft 2 projected from a motor 1, and a balance weight installing groove 4 is arranged on the upper surface of the polygon mirror 3. This installing groove 4 is deep on the outer peripheral side, and is shallow on the inner peripheral side. Now, when a rotary part of the motor 1 is rotated, vibration is created by means of rotational unbalance, but in order to reduce this rotational vibration, balance adjustment is carried out. Thereby, after the rotary part is installed in a machine so as to detect a position and volume of the unbalance, a balance weight 5 is installed therein, but this weight 5 is formed like fixing metal having large specific gravity by means of adhesives having large specific gravity, and even if the balance weight 5 dropped into the balance weight installing groove 4 runs to the outer peripheral side of the groove 4, it can be adhered to a wall 7 so that the scattering can never be occurred.
