Abstract:
The printing machine has a sheet feeder, a support, on which the printed sheets or signatures can be stacked, and a marking device for certain stacked sheets etc. Between the sheet feeder and the stacking support is fitted at least one opto-electronic sensor for sheet checking. The sensor (5) controls, via an evaluation circuit, at least one marker in dependence on preset quality and/or alignment criteria. Pref. the stacking support is fitted with sensors for sheet monitoring, which activate sheet markers, on preset locating tolerances for printed sheets being exceeded. On the last printing cylinder may be fitted a colour densitometer, which may activate a sheet marker, on preset colour tolerances being exceeded. Another sensor may be fitted to this cylinder for monitoring the print of various colours, also activating the sheet marker.
