Abstract:

To provide a rotary regenerative heat exchanger capable of reducing an entrance leak without lowering the speed of rotation of a rotor.

A heat accumulating zone 3 provided in the rotor 2 of the rotary regenerative heat exchanger has a laminated structure of two or more layers and the directions of rotation of the individual layers 3a, 3b and 3c are made reverse to each other. As a result, the entrance leak due to the rotation of the rotor can be made zero substantially and therefore the speed of rotation of the rotor can be kept in an optimum range for heat exchange.
