PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability without sacrificing a space close to a foot by a method wherein a longitudinal support base is provided to longitudinally movably support a rotary support base and a means to interlock rotation operation of a seat body with movement operation in a longitudinal direction is located between a seat body and the longitudinal support base.
SOLUTION: A rotary seat comprises a seat body 2; a rotary support base 10 to support the seat body 2; and a longitudinal support base to move the rotary support base 10 longitudinally of a vehicle. Further, a pinion gear 6 in an arcuate shape is attached on the under surface of a seat base 5 and a rack 38 is mounted on the end part on the outdoor side of the longitudinal support base through a rotatable spindle. The pinion gear 6 and the rack 38 are engaged with each other and since rotation operation of the seat body 2 and movement operation in a longitudinal direction are interlocked with each other, the seat body 2 is turned to the door opening part side without interference of the seat body 2 with other portion, such as a pillar, and without interference with the feet of a seating person with the end part of a door opening part.
