Abstract:
The invention relates to a rotary table, comprising a stationary housing and an indexing plate for holding a workpiece, which indexing plate is mounted for rotation about a central axis of rotation relative to the stationary housing, wherein: - at least one clamping brake, which can be actuated from a clamping position into a non-clamping position, is formed between the stationary housing and the rotatably mounted indexing plate; - the clamping brake comprises a first and a second spring element for actuating a brake block; - the second spring element can apply at least one force to the brake block, said force being controllable, more particularly the magnitude of said force being adjustable, in the direction of the spring force of the first spring element.
