The rotary tilling apparatus 1 is equipped with a rotated and driven rotary tillage shaft 10, a tillage transmission pipe 7 arranged parallel in the upper part of the rotary tillage shaft 10, a main cover 17 arranged in the lower side of the tillage transmission pipe 7 and covering the upper part of the rotary tillage shaft 10 and a rear cover 18 vertically freely rotatably provided at the rear end of the main cover 17. In the rotary tilling apparatus 1, the main cover 17 is composed so as to be rotatable in the front and rear. When the front cover 19 covering the front of the rotary tillage shaft 10 and vertically rotated according to the rotation of the main cover 17 in the front and rear is provided, the front cover 19 is supported with the tillage transmission pipe 7.
