Abstract:
To provide a rotary tool capable of being used for fine machining and forming a machined surface of high flatness with hardly generating breakage or wear by providing sufficient strength or hardness, and a machining method.
This rotating tool A has a shaft body provided with a cutting edge 11 and cuts a material B to be cut by the cutting edge 11 by rotating the shaft body. The the shaft body is provided with a grinding surface 14 for grinding the material B by being made to abut on the material B. After the cutting of the material B by the cutting edge 11, at least a part of the machined surface formed in the material B by the cutting edge 11 is grounded by the grinding surface 14.
