To provide a rotary tool capable of switching an automatic stopping condition in an easily understandable way according to a work content and without a complex operation.
A rotary tool includes: a mode switching button 22 for switching an operation mode; a mode selection means 110 for selecting any operation mode from a plurality of predetermined operation modes when the mode switching button 22 is depressed; and a motor control means 120 for controlling rotation of a motor 31 according to the operation mode selected by the mode selection means 110. The plurality of operating modes includes a first automatic stop mode for rotating the motor 31 for only a predetermined time when a trigger 21 is triggered and then stopping the motor, and a second automatic stop mode for rotating the motor 31 for only a specific time shorter than the predetermined time when the trigger 21 is triggered and then stopping the motor.
