Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the doubling of the number of signal transmission systems without changing the height of a rotary transformer, by providing second outer and inner cylindrical cores having the same central axis of rotation that a pair of outer and inner cylindrical cores have, outside the latter. CONSTITUTION:First outer and inner cylindrical cores 10 and 12 and second outer and inner cylindrical cores 11 and 13 form pairs respectively, and signal transmission systems of four for each pair, totaling eight, are formed. The outer cylindrical cores 10 and 11 are fixed concentrically to a terminal plate 1 for the outer cores, while the inner cylindrical cores 12 and 13 are fixed concentrically to a terminal plate 3 for the inner cores, and the terminal plate 3 rotates around the same central axis. Consequently two pairs of rotary transformers rotate simultaneously, and therefore the signal transmission systems twice as many as those in the case when the transformers are in a pair can be obtained without lowering the characteristics thereof. Besides, short rings 18 and 19 are fitted respectively in ring grooves 12b and 13b provided in the middle between coil grooves 12a and 13a adjacent to each other on the outer peripheral surfaces of the inner cylindrical cores 12 and 13, so that a magnetic circuit of one system be independent of another.
